1. I feel like the relationship definitely is different considering racism and discrimination was pretty common in the 60’s. The movie signaled to me that people of color were looked down on and life overall was simply more difficult. Now days, I feel like this isn’t the case at all. It obviously still exists but in my experience isn’t very present. 2. I think the most important message of this movie are what it shows us about race relations, respect, gratitude, and love. And to also be brave enough to stand up for the right thing. I believe this is the case because the movie gives the African Americans cry for help a voice.
